family pic saturday

I am beyond thrilled with our most recent round of family pictures we had done. One of my friends did the pictures for us and I can't speak highly enough about her. She was so patient with the less-than-cooperative Sawyer, and she is just so laid back. (I also have to add that she is the prettiest person I've ever met. Seriously. Talented, creative, beautiful, and hilarious. I want to be just like Tara when I grow up.)

While I pretty much hate the work that goes into getting ready for our pictures, I love that we have them forever. I don't enjoy trying to find coordinating clothes, choosing a location, and let me tell you - getting this girl all polished up was a chore. This is the first time in a loooong time that I have had highlights, a tan (yes, that is me "tan"), mani/pedi, AND my legs shaved all at the same time.  Of course I probably haven't shaved my legs since (gross), the nail polish started to chip the next day, and the spray tan was scrubbed away. But for a glorious moment in time I was shiny and new. Thank goodness its captured on film, because hello, high maintenance.

I am so proud of my sweet family, and so thankful to have these pictures to look back on. And I just have to add that I have the cutest little boy in the whole world.

  4. I LOVE your pictures! So, so beautiful! We just had some family pictures done, too, and Forrest was so far beyond uncooperative that I don't think there's even a word for it. I'm crossing my fingers for just one or two decent shots. (And I love the shot of Sawyer giving that cheesy smile--awesome!)

  5. I love your beatiful pics. Wasn't this on your 27 list or something like that?

I'm exactly the same as you - I really loathe all the getting ready (although I do like choosing a location because I'm fussy and like ALL the elements I want in one place) but I do like having the moments captured (and bringing me lots of lovely smiles) for months to come, years even.

You are all gorgeous - Anderson is yummy (!), you are beautiful (all the high maintenance was so worth it) and your little Sawyer is super scrumptious. Watch out - if I ever see you in real life, I will give him lots of hugs!

  9. Absolutely gorgeous Allison. Your son looks so much like your hubby. I love the "teeth" picture. However, I think you have a way to go before you can compete with Snooki. Tell Tara I want to be her when I grow up too! :) Aileen Bell

  13. Awww, Allison! You sweetie! Thanks for that! I'm sorry, I'm just seeing this (I've been swamped busy)! Sawyer was perfectly cooperative. He's 2 for crying out loud! There's no way I'd allow a camera in my face for an hour at 32 years of age, let alone 2! He did great! It's easy to take great pics when the family is gorgeous! :)
