In celebration of my "How to Cross Stitch" series, I have put together a fab giveaway for one lucky winner.
That's pretty much everything you'll need to get started in cross stitching. Aida cloth, a book full of patterns, hoops, needles, and thread. Even if you are already a stitcher, this is a great stash building prize. And if you don't like cross stitch, the book also has so many great embroidery patterns in it. In other words - this is a prize for stitchers of all kinds!
This giveaway is open to continental U.S. residents only and ends Tuesday, April 17th at 10:00pm CST. I'll catch all you international folks in the next giveaway, promise.

I actually fell in love with embroidery through your series! I've always wanted to try it and the series just really pushed me to do it. I wouldn't mind taking a swing at cross stitching, especially since I have such great resources now on where to begin. Hope I win!

My first cross stitch project came out of it's sister, A Rainbow of Stitches, and this book has been living on my wish list for a little while. Wouldn't say no to the floss and cloth either :)

I'm a follower and I'd love to win. Since moving to America to be with my husband I had to leave a lot of my sewing supplies back in the UK and with money being tight it's hard to always get everything I'd love to rebuild my supplies and goodies. This tonne of goodies would keep me entertained and well in supply for sure!
ReplyDeleteMy email is lo_ts@ymail.com

ReplyDeletegoddessEllie07@gmail.com
i would LOVE to win. i was thinking i wanted to learn a new craft and saw something in the store and thought cross stitching. I was so excited when i saw your seris on it a few days later. but i thought this new craft would have to be put on hold because new supplies were not in my budget, this would be totally awesome! ( i always start out a new craft by buying a book lol)
ReplyDeleteI did cross stitching when I was younger, but haven't dabbled with with for 20 years! I would love to pick it back up again.

ReplyDeleteYour series on cross stitch was so helpful and made it look so fun to try- so fun that I want to try it! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this giveaway because all though I'd love to try the projects for cross stitching, (surprise) I don't have the materials for it I need. Winning this giveaway would be amazing and a dream come true.
Already a follower! And I've been loving your cross stitch series. I've done 2 projects on my own using a store-bought pattern, but I would like to get more creative with my work and create something unique, using suggestions from patterns, so this book would be great for that! Nice giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to start cross stitching!
ReplyDeleteI'm not an official "follower". :) I would love to win because I love to cross stitch and I know that these goodies would give me the push I need to pick it up again!
ReplyDeleteFollowing! And I really, really, really want that book of patterns. I started cross stitching as a kid when you could buy everything (floss, hoop, pattern, cloth) together in a kit. The patterns were sooooooo grandma-ish, but I loved doing it. I haven't cross stitched in a while because I don't like most of the patterns I see. Having that book (and all the other goodies) would be so awesome! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love to cross stitch and would love to win this to build up my stash and library.
ReplyDeletekathrynnpolfer(at)gmail(dot)com

I'd love to win so I can get my hands on that book! I started my first cross stitch project in *years* -a Christmas stocking for my daughter- and now I'm itching to make small framed projects to hang around the house. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI used to cross stitch a ton when I was in middle/high school, but haven't bought supplies since then. I have recently started embroidering on scrap fabric, but I would love to be able to cross stitch again. It's such a relaxing thing to do while watching a movie.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this! I grew up cross stitching because my granny owned a cross stitching supply store called The Cedar Chest =) But it's probably been about 10 years since I've done anything. This might be the jumpstart I need! Good luck everyone =)
ReplyDeleteI follow on GFC as tcrowley122. I'd love to win for my niece Hannah...she loves crafting and making jewlery, and I think she would love to learn how to cross-stitch!!
ReplyDeleteMy taught me to cross stitch over Christmas and I love it, but I've been needing a few more supplies and ideas. I'd love to win so I can keep praciting!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have that book to expand my ever growing cross-stitching knowledge!
ReplyDeleteI have been cross-stitching for a long while. I am currently recovering from spinal surgery in which I miraculously *didn't* lose motor control in my right hand (like they warned me I might have), and am being encouraged by my surgeon to do all the stitching and such that I love to keep those muscles in top shape.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of your blog. You're always encouraging and inspiring. Through this blog, I've gained an interest for embroidery. I'm currently a cross-stitcher and this giveaway would help expand my knowledge of both. Thanks for doing this! Dana
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother taught me how to cross-stitch when I was about 9 and I gave her my first ever project (a little red barn & chicken). My grandmother passed away many years ago and that little red barn is framed and hangs in my bedroom. I smile and think of her every time I look at it. My youngest daughter just turned 7 and has expressed an interest in learning how to cross-stitch. I would love to give her a kit of her very own. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love following your blog and I love cross stitch! Especially would like the book of patterns and I dig the floss colors you picked out. Pick me!
ReplyDeleteI've tried knitting and crochet and would now like to give cross stitch a try. Thanks for the great giveaway1
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I love the book! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win :)
I want to win because I have been wanting to try my hand at cross stitching for awhile and this would help jump start that for me.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win...All your post have made me so excited to try cross stitching!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I'd love to win because I think I need to revive my long-dormant hobby of cross stitching. I haven't cross-stitched since I was something like 8 years old! Time for a resurgence, right?
ReplyDeleteI really love this series! I did my first embroidery because of your blog and now I'm going to try Cross-stitch!
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower of your blog for some time now. Love to get your posts in my email! I usually have a cross-stitch project going, although I pick it up only now and then...always a WIP! I love the neatness and form of a well done cross-stitch pattern. There is just something so charming and lovely about the combination of colors and stitches that draws me to this craft. Thank you of the opportunity to win a wonderful gift package. I especially love the book...the cover says it all for me!! Be especially blessed, Kathy
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this as needlework is my passion - love to cross stitch, embroidery and sew. I have so much cross stitch - some completed and some uncompleted - but would love to add to my stash. It makes me happy. I am a happy follower and email subscriber of your blog.
ReplyDeleteI love cross stitch.
ReplyDeleteI am your follower too.
I was excited to know about your give away.
I am presently at Kansas, USA.
If i had a chance to win. I will try all the designs and feel happy stitching. Thanks for the announcement of give away.

I would LOVE to win this!! I've been wanting to start doing/learning embroidery, but I don't have any supplies. Thanks for the opportunity!!!
ReplyDeletenikkisheriff(at)gmail(dot)com
I used to cross stitch when I was in college, but took a break for awhile. Of course marriage and children made that a very long break;-) I found your blog a few months ago and became inspired. I've actually pulled out some unfinished projects and purchased some new ones. I would love to win that book! I definitely consider myself a beginner and have a lot to learn. I would love to win those supplies to keep up and improve on my work! Thank you again for your blog and all the inspiration:-)
ReplyDeleteCross stitching and embroidery are so fun for me but I never seem to find good patterns. This book and supplies seem like just what I need to fall in love with the art all over again.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Blogger and BlogLovin!
ReplyDeleteI would love love love to win this set because I have been wanting to start cross stitching and embroidery in my free time so badly, but funds are so tight right now, I haven't been able to justify the start up fees. I have a lot of the needed materials already in my sewing supplies, but this would be such a great start! I've been a little down lately and a peaceful hobby like this would be perfect to keep my hands busy.
I also want to finally comment and thank you so much for your cross stitch lessons/tips posts lately. You're so good at it and they're great to read!
I would love to win this giveaway first of all, for the book (it's been on my Amazon wishlist for a while now) and second for those nice wooden hoops. I'm just starting out and I only have plastic hoops that I don't like very much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and for the intro to stitching!
What an awesome giveaway! I WANT THAT BOOK! I also want to see what awesome embroidery floss colors you've chosen -- and then add them to my stash. :) Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteWow! Awesome giveaway! I follow your blog and Facebook page. I have been a cross-stitching for some time now. I am working on a big project now. Love you blog! I would have to say I would add this to my stash right now. Thanks for the chance, and for a great blog! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeletedoodlesstudios@gmail.com
This is an amazing giveaway! Thank you for putting it together.
ReplyDeleteI follow you everywhere you are! Lol! Big fan, I guess.
Why do I want to win....well, I've always wanted to cross stitch but it looked hard and kinda boring, to be honest. It wasn't until you picked it up that I saw how modern and fun it really was! But it still looked hard and all the books in the library are sooo outdated...I didn't really know wher ....or how!...to start! So this would be quite perfect. Also, it's almost my birthday and I would love to win something in time for it! Lol!
Thanks again!
This would definitely help me to build my supply. The book looks so fun! I always can use some extra inspiration. Thank you for doing your stitch series. You do excellent tutorials!
ReplyDeleteI never realized how beautiful cross stitch can be! I would love to win because I would like to try to make something beautiful like you make. I still can's believe the Breakfast Club cross stitch you made for the gift exchange last summer!
ReplyDeleteWow, I think this is the best contest price that I've seen since I've started following blogs related to embroidery! It would be amazing to win it, since it would be a good kick to start with cross stitch! I've recently starting with the "regular" embroidery, and in this part of the world is not so easy to see good supplies... The book looks awsome, for what I could see in Amazon at least.

I just became a follower and I would love to win because I've always done cross-stitching and this would re-energize me into getting back into it!! It's such a satisfying feeling when you finish something you just stitched!! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI love learning new crafts but buying all of the stuff is so expensive, especially if I end up not liking/being good at it! This would be so great to get and learn to do!
ReplyDeleteashleyw0201@gmail.com
I'm a follower! I've recently gotten back into embroidery and I need to build my stash of supplies and I'd really like the book. Patterns have gotten so much better since I was last doing it--definitely need some new patterns!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and an embroiderer and cross stitcher! Building up a stash is always good, but I've seen that book and would love to have it. Craft books are pricey, don't publishers know we craft to save money? And, well, because we like to make pretty things!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and all the tutorials and reviews you do. I would love to win this to share my love of embroidery with my sister. Thanks! beth.emmons@ymail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and I loved your cross stitch series! My sister just taught me before this series came out and I can't wait for my next project. I would love to win the supplies to keep practicing and creating. :-) absolutelyshort2687@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog looking for cross stitch inspiration and immediately became a follower! So obviously I'd love to win the giveaway because I need more patterns!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win so I could cross stitch like my mother-in-law!
