you and me wall art

I have had this project done for a couple weeks, but have been procrastinating taking pictures. I finally got around to it today, and I am excited to share with you my new, fresh wall art for our bedroom.

Inspired by this lovely print that I desperately wish I could afford, I decided to try my hand at an all white art piece.

To make it, I used Gorilla Glue to glue down chipboard letters. Yes, you need to use Gorilla Glue or something similar. The hot glued letters popped off. Since the letters were patterned, I used a primer first, then spray painted it all white. I used a glossy white, which I am not crazy about. If you are going to try this, I would use a flat white. (Sorry I don't have more pictures of the process. I actually do have them somewhere, but in the craze that is my life lately, I cannot find them.)

Here is another picture that shows the words a little better.

Easy, fresh, pretty. The best kind of project.

  6. Lindsay - yes, Gorilla Glue is like a super glue. You can find it at Home Depot, Michael's, and I think places like WalMart. You can use it for lots of stuff!
