I have been wanting a pretty spring wreath for our door, but I am kind of picky about wreaths. Lately I have been drawn to more vintage-y, girly, pretty things. So I decided to make a vintage-y girly, pretty wreath.
Here is what you need to make it:
- Foam Wreath
- Pins
- Pearls
- Fabric Flowers (I bought a bush of hydrangeas and pulled the blooms off)
- Scrap cloth for making a hanger
String a pearl onto one of the pins, then add on the flower.
Insert the pin onto the wreath.
Keep going...
And going...
And going...
Until your wreath is completely full.
Cut a strip of scrap cloth, hang, and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteOoooo, this is SO pretty! I love the way you hung it up too, the big floppy bow just makes the whole thing pop! Very nice work!
ReplyDeleteHi! I love the color and addition of the pearls! I noticed that there is a spring decor party going on at Inspired by Charm. You should check it out. Here's the link http://www.inspiredbycharm.com/2011/03/welcome-to-my-little-party.html

ReplyDeleteAnd thanks Jane! I linked up - so thanks for referring me :)
Allison,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty, feminine wreath! Oh so beautiful on your white door.
I am making this one for sure. I just might make tiny wreaths and use them for napkin rings. Perfection!
You have a lovely blog!

Thanks Yvonne! I think a version of this would make really pretty napkin holders - just maybe with hot glue instead of pins :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed my blog!
Oh my gosh, I LOVE this! I have an obsession with purple flowers an this is just gorgeous! I love how you added pearls! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! And you must have tons of patience!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa and Angie!
ReplyDeleteAngie - it really didn't take that long... maybe an hour to an hour and a half. But my neck sure did hurt from looking down at it :) Glad you like it!
This is stunning! And I love that you use pins instead of hot glue! The pearls just make it so sweet and lovely.
ReplyDeleteI found you through Not Just a Housewife. I'm following you now!
