lovely finds

If you are coming over from Craft Snob, welcome! I am so glad you are taking a look over here. If you are looking for the post to comment on to have a chance at my giveaway, click here. The giveaway will close on Monday at 12p CST, so make sure to comment before then!

On to the post... I wanted to share some of my recent shopping lovelies with you! I know I love to see what other little treasures people have found.

I am still not sure what I am going to do with these, but when I saw them I literally gasped.

There are a few things I just love and I don't know why. Coral, owls, birds, cameos. Maybe more. But these are my current loves.

I also found these cute acorn charms.

That antique bronze color is my favorite metal color to work with when I am jewelry making, and I love the kitschy feeling of the tiny acorns.

At an antique mall, I found this old postcard.

It cracked me up, so I bought it. I will probably frame it and put it on the wall in my craft room.

Speaking of the craft room... I want to show the final product SO bad. But there is not a final product. I have been fighting with some projects that have been frustrating the heck out of me. I don't want to rush my decorating though because that usually ends up ugly. So here is a little glimpse of my new desk accessories to hold you over (because I know you are all dying in anticipation of my craft room reveal).

I don't like desk accessories. I looked at the Container Store, Amazon, Office Depot, Target, etc. and didn't find any desk accessory set that had the right look I was going for. So I made up my own. Paper mache book boxes to hold ugly things.

A little glass box for paper clips.

Just what I wanted.

No pencils in the jar yet. I am working on something fun for that, so look for the tutorial this week. A pencil tutorial - just what the craft world has been waiting for.
